Research Gap

 For my research gap, I'm thinking it is most likely a gap in implications. The use of Simplified English is not often used in international communication which I think this is a pretty significant gap. There is evidence that Simplified English is easier for reading and translation when it comes to international communication. Despite the research, there hasn't been a widespread implementation of Simplified English in international communication. I think the implications speak for themselves and their potential to significantly reduce the amount of miscommunication that is seen today. By addressing this gap in implications, I believe we could open the door to new findings and influence future research topics.

    I think that you have found a very intriguing gap! You are right that simplified english could have a lot of value for reducing miscommunication in international contexts. I feel that there are probably thousands of industries who face lingual issues across cultures. After reading a few of your posts about this topic I am mainly left wondering what all of the barriers include. I think that cultural preferences, as well as America's resistance to change, might parallel with your research proposal as you move forward. I really love your ideas for this project. Great work as always!

Plans for Revision

 I always seem to struggle a little bit with revisions. I'm never confident in implementing changes into my current work because I'm always unsure if the changes I make will be good. But I feel pretty good about revising my research this proposal this time around. I'm grateful for the feedback I got from Dr. B and the peer review workshop in class. Based on their comments, it seems that I have a good start and just need to expand my ideas. My goal is to take each section one at a time and try to write as much information that I think is important to have in the research proposal. I'll also work on implementing any suggestions that were suggested by Dr. B and the peer review.
